The original 3 stripes logo was created by the adidas company founder, Adi Dassler, and first used on footwear in 1949.  After the company's expansion into the leisure and apparel sectors the logo underwent a revamp into the three leafed plant or Trefoil, which was first used on adidas products in 1972, later becoming the company’s corporate symbol.

In 1997 the sloping 3 bar logo was introduced, designed by Creative Director Peter Moore. All fan made wallpaper courtesy of the "elderly"
